very pleased to welcome Norman Lamb, MP and Mrs Peel from Barton Hall to perform the opening ceremony and to see the club’s regular junior training night get underway.
Sue Sheldrake and Stephen Tate, ABWCC Grants team, said: “It is a real pleasure to see our players using the nets. We are very grateful for the invaluable support we received to make this project possible, particularly from: Kieron Tuck, Cricket Development Manager, Norfolk Cricket Board, Libby Jones and the Grants team at Sport England whose £28 000 grant made this possible and Roger Margand, Spire Solicitors. It means we have been able to enhance the club facilities and can offer better opportunities for practice.”
Mark Pepper, ABWCC Chairman, said: “The new nets are a fantastic facility for all our players. It is a particular delight to have this ceremony on our very popular junior training night, we have a really enthusiastic group of 70 plus young members who we see as the future of the club. These nets are an asset for all our players and will help to make this a club for players to produce their best cricket.”
